But somewhere along the way, many of these traditions become separated from their stories.
We wanted to create a space where you could discover these pieces differently, not simply as jewellery, but as objects connected to a place, a community, a technique and a way of making.
Sometimes that means bringing an existing traditional piece to you just as it is. Sometimes it means taking something we have learnt from a craft and exploring it through our own design language.
RUH exists somewhere between discovery, design and storytelling.
Creativity has always been a part of Ruhi Tulsyan's life. What began as a childhood love for making things with her hands eventually led her to study design at NIFT, where she discovered a deep appreciation for India's rich craft traditions.
Over the years, that curiosity took her beyond classrooms and into craft clusters, where she learnt directly from artisans, explored traditional techniques, and experienced the stories that live within every handmade object. The more she travelled and learnt, the more she realised that craft is not just about skill; it is about people, culture, and identity. That realisation became the foundation of RUH.
Today, Ruhi works closely with artisan communities to create jewellery inspired by India's living craft traditions. Through RUH, she hopes to encourage a deeper appreciation for the people, heritage, and craftsmanship behind every handmade piece.
Inspired by traditional jewellery associated with the Gond and Bhil communities of Madhya Pradesh, ADIVA explores the forms, materials and character of tribal jewellery.
The collection includes pieces that stay close to traditional designs as well as pieces developed through our own interpretation of what we discovered.
Working with Gilat, a white-metal alloy used in traditional jewellery, the collection brings together pieces that can be worn in ways that feel natural today while remaining connected to their origins.

MOTI BHARAT takes inspiration from the beadwork tradition of Gujarat, where tiny beads are brought together to create intricate patterns and colourful surfaces.
What caught our attention was the patience behind it, bead by bead, pattern by pattern. We translated that visual language into jewellery while keeping the handmade character of the craft at the heart of the collection.

From preparing materials to shaping, casting, weaving, assembling and finishing, every craft carries knowledge that has been built over years.
We work with artisans and makers who bring that knowledge into our pieces. Wherever possible, we want the person behind the craft to remain part of the story, because knowing where something comes from makes wearing it feel different.
